nope....im still in 4th at 110 in the traps and still have room to keep going. </font>
do you have the same gear ratios as these cars though?

--------------------------------------
Cobalt makes more HP or could make more HP per cubic inch.

Cobalt= 2.0L

SRT-4= 2.4L

---------------------------------------

Now turn up the wick on Cobalt to equal that of SRT-4 and you got more HP, better take off since it's a Root SC, much faster and still look better doing it.

I think it's bogus for you guys to say that a stock SRT-4 can do mid to low 13. When you guys say Stock, you better mean, "STOCK." Which means paper filter, stock exhaust and everything.

There's a kid here that had alot of stuff done to his yellow SRT-4 and he could only manage 14.2. But then again, this is Calif.
Let's clear a few things up..

1.) Stock boost on the SRT is 11psi @ redline, not "15-16"psi. Occasionally you'll see a spike to 14psi at lower RPMs. 1/4mi times avg. 14.0 - 14.1 @ 99 - 100mph and if you're good at driving 13.9 @ 101 is possible. Best BONE stock is a 13.6 @ 102 that I've seen/heard.

2.) The Cobalt, like the Ion, cannot just "turn up the wick" because the heat will just cancel out the power gains.

3.) Do you know how ridiculously small the turbo is on the SRT? TD04. :rolleyes: Put a real turbo on there and we'll see the power gains when you...how'd you say it? Turn up the wick baby!

4.) Please stop the HP per cube and benchmarking of "thinking" the Cobalt will put up more power than an SRT. You're playing RICER MATH. Are you a ricer? Oh you may make more power but I make more HP per Liter

I swear this forums will stick up for neons more than f-bodies. Every other post I read is about a SEXAY neon. Not saying I dont like the site, just saying its gettin off of its whole purpose.

LOL, does it bother you when car guys won't just sit there and drool over a car that's been out of production for 3 years? The F-Bodies are nice cars, but don't get mad if people don't make the center of their universe a Camaro or Firebird.

OTOH, don't get mad if people provide balance to the bashing of certain cars, especially when the bashing is not anything more substantial than "It's just a Neon" or "It's ugly." I agree that the Neon isn't the best looking car, but there's vehicles much more deserving of the scorn deserving of something that was truly beaten with an ugly stick.

Don't be a hater because the Neon's so SEXXXAY!
