Taking an art history class? Worst **** Ever

Yeah I am a Classical Civilization major and that class is Roman Art.. so it fits in to my upper division requirement.

The good thing if that a lot of my classes require papers, which I can do pretty well, so at least my grades should be ok. It will just be A LOT of reading to get those grades. I took upper div. writing last quarter and got an A, but it turns out I am taking another class that is upper div. writing this quarter too :( I could have saved my damn time last quarter... oh well.

Who the hell wants to learn about history? Arts? Poetry?

It's called the radio.

Like it or not snoop dog and korn are poets and musicians of our time.

History is all over Television. In Magazines, everywhere! History takes no skill. Just interest. And has no real purpose except to show people how much of an *** you are by pointing out george washington chopped his fathers cherry tree down.

Does this make you smart? Educated? Not in my book.

If you can't write a business letter then I suggest you take a langauge/writing class.

The only time langauge and writing skills are seriously needed in jobs is when you are addressing many people or something seriously important that represents your company in whatever situation. You cannot have your employees without good writing and english skills.

80% of the time you will be addressing a secretary or someone with notes like...

Do files, Call Johnson, lunch 1:00 pm. Get to conference ASAP.

Haven't you ever glaced at police officers reports?

Man shows up, man shoots victim. I show up with officer McGruff. We arrest Perp and take Perp back to cell. Perp don't fight back. We call for backup and clean up situation.
