  • SSN theft!

So me and Laura are heading to Nissan dealership to help her mom find a nice 4 door instead of this cramped 2 door pickup she had 3 of us crammed in. We figured Xterra's! they are kinda weird lookin but anyway thats not the point! So she starts signing and filling out paper work on the Xterra. well me thinking, hey me and Laura need a car too!, I said "hey whats the cheapest 4 door you got on the lot, i need something so i can stick a baby seat in the back" he said "the sentra, i can probably get you a deal of 13k on it!" i said "alright lets go look" well we went and looked and she test drove, it suited her purpose, plenty of baby room plenty of power and features, we go to fill out the applications, BAM you have a bounced check of $178! "WHAT?!" we both say, "yes and you have had your credit checked over 20 times in the past 6 months! "WHAT?!?!?" we both say. Anyway since she is a graduate she also gets $500 off plus her trade in and a down payment. He said he would have to contact the nissan place first thing monday morning since they were closed by this time around 6 saturday evening about the graduate discount. We went home and I said lets check your credit report, so we did, on experian. Just the usual we "knew" about showed up! So I said how about equifax, well BAM! there is that bounced check, there are those credit checks, AND THERE ARE THOSE REVOLVING ACCOUNTS that I nor HER have any idea about!

    Dell Computer system $1600
NetBank $778 and a check from that place bounced for $178 at cracker barrel!
    credit check from centurytel
    cinergy
    gateway
    old navy
    bestbuy
    timewarner
    t-mobile
    atlantic motor sports
    certegy
    and more

MOSTLY OUT OF newsport news VA and cinci OH! WTF!? we live in dothan alabama just 15 mins north of the florida state line! but her ex and her USED to live in newsport news VA! AND his new wife who's name is LauraN not LaurA used to live in cinci OH before she moved to newsport news VA! what does that tell you?!

LauraN Maggard posed as Laura Maggard, and took her SSN and current address info and bought and/or tried to buy stuff! with the help of her ex jason, now them two are nasty fu@@s, they would send pictures of them "doin it" just to piss laurA off. and threaten her and stuff. he doesn't show up in the bases roster, he's gone awall/deserter they picked him up once in cinci, oh but can't find him again or something.

My Laura is no longer maggard, she took on her birth last name, and she doesn't live in newsport news VA or cinci OH, she lives down here with me.

Anyway needless to say we contacted the bases MP and will contact the post commander, the dothan city police, they will contact the criminal investigations and I will be contacting as many of these companies as possible to get them to stop, hold or cancel these accounts.

beware SSN theft is real and it may be someone you know real close, just don't give your girlfriends/boyfriends any info cause you never know how mean they really are till you are broken up!

it's 2:30 am i can't sleep, im pissed and shes been crying all afternoon so she's sleeping pretty ok right now. Not the stress she needs to be having while shes preganant.

If you get caught using someone elses information to open accounts and credit cards, what is the amount of years you could be put away? what is it, felony?

Ah well I'm tired, so you're getting a half-assed story.

Basically my dad retired from California as a doctor... someone stole his SSN and license # and started practicing under his license... the guy ****ed up, and then my dad got a call from cali medical boards "you're having too many malpractice cases, we're suspending your license"---"but I haven't practiced in 2 years..."... it was a weird call. Anyways, my dad had to "prove he was the real _____"... and then yeah, the guy's ****ed in jail now.

If someone steals my SSN or CC#, I will track them down, come to their house and rob them of everything. What are they going to do? Call the police and say we stole goods from them that they bought with stolen credit and ID? I would ransack the whole house, they wouldnt have anything.

Decades ago, but my best friend went to finance his first new car purchase, and he got an incredible financing offer: all of his dad's credit info came up on his report.

IMO it could be Equifax's fault not necessarily any criminal act by the ex. They should clear it up quick. Good luck!
