Not if it is in a 2004 GTO. Plus the fact that the LS1 requires premium. My 300hp GT uses the same octane as my 200hp 97 Camaro.

Oh, he ran a 13.92@102 bone stock on street tires with almost no driving experience with a 5-speed on his first trip to a not so great track while launching from idle.

Based Soley on HP and Weight the new v6 mustang is very comprable to 3.8 Fbodies.

I got news for you. We are seriously outdated. Our engine and everything for that matter has been the same since mid 1995. So V6 Stangs are just playing catch up.

Mustangs exterior on the scale of 1-10 is about a 7. Interior looks good on the magazine but looks bad in person. I give that one a 4.

I'm sure if the F-body V6 was still around we would be getting the new 3.9 engine that has 240 hp.

F-bodies have always over-powered and out-run the mustangs of the same year whether it be the V6 or the V8's. If we had a new Fbody it would rip a hole in the new mustangs. Our dated T/A's still pull on the new V8 stangs.

The LS7 is a Pushrod, 2-valve motor making 500hp and doesn't have to pay the gas guzzler tax. We are not outdated

And Those people who get them for under MSRP are lucky!
Around here they jack the prices up..

It would be great if in a year or two they came out with something like the Y87 option (v8 brakes, torsen diff).

BTW. The 60 V6 looks like it leaves room for a T25 on each side .

This 2005 V6s look quick. They are running the same times the V8s autos ran a few years ago. I only ever see the times for the autos, none of the magazines ever test the manual. I really dont care for the new mustangs retro styling, but their drivetrains are looking good.
