(The questions are labeled #1 and #2 so just scroll down if you don't want to read everything)
I got it!
1997 Black Camaro RS
70,000 (almost all) Business-Driven Highway Miles
Bose 10-CD changer.
Dern Sexay
Any imperfections are very minor and only noticable if scrutinized very closely.
My first car projects were taking the dealer's sticker off my car (I literally lay under there for about 45 minutes picking at that thing... it was so hard to get it off... then used the citrus-based goo-gone), getting the junk from the windows stickers off of the windows, and taking the front dealer plate off (and cleaning where junk had gotten behind it).
I HATE how they drilled that thing straight into my ground-effects!
#1. What should I use to fill those holes?... Just use puddey and touch-up paint or what?
#2. When I took off the front plate-holder thing... and cleaned the mud off from where it had gotten under, I noticed that there was a noticable difference between where the plate backing had been, and the surrounding paint. I ran my finger across it, it felt like tar or something. How can I get this off? Will clay bar get it all? I plan on ordering the Zaino kit today.
I plan on doing a car-domain soon so you can see my car. Of course it doesn't have any aftermarket stuff except for the bose changer, but I hope to at least install window armor (www.windowarmorusa.com), maybe get head/taillight blackouts, zaino it, repair/replace the dieing window motors, and install a retractable antenna within the next couple weeks.... the performance and more serious appearance mods (if any) will probably be done next summer.
I know some of you expressed your opinion that it was too expensive... well the Kelly Bluebook value of my car buying it from a private party is:
$7,515
From a dealer:
$9,365
I got it for $6,675... and that is everything, not just the car.... from a dealer (so it has been detailed)... sooooo <_<... Anyone who thinks they can find a car like this for less... well... you can't unless you have connections because '97 Black automatic RSs with low milage, excellent, int/ext, within a few 100 miles of home, for cheap, just don't come by too often.
