You have never seen a two dollar bill. Legal tender means its real money. Tender is another word for money or note.

I hate best buy... only go there when I cannot find the dvd I want elsewhere... So much money is spent there but honestly, do they really sell anything that you actually need?

Btw the cashier and manager are stupid... Should have just accepted it. As long as the money passes the counterfeit pen check, then I'd accept it, still could be a fake, but even if Best buy lost a million dollars a year from counterfeits, which they probably don't even come close to, its worth losing the million dollars a year then to get caught up in something like this. The manager and cashier would have never lost their job over a measly $115, probably woulnd't even have gotten written up if it passed the test. If there is an inquiry about it, just play dumb and say it passed the counterfeit pen check, I am not a qualified counterfeit finder, I work for like $6 an hour.

I don't think the cops had to really cuff the guy, but if a counterfeit bill is suspect by a vendor I believe the law is they have to contact the secret service and keep the person detained until the secret service can inspect it.

PS decent tip if you suspect fake $20s, as long as it newer styled not like 15 years old, you can scratch the color and its a decent sign that its real... Same for newer 50s, and 100s, but there are still alot of older 50s and 100s in circulation and it doesn't alwasy work on those.

The cops didn't handcuff him. It was store security. Which puts them liable for false arrest, and I'm sure a hundred other things.
