I thought the G6 was already released, seen two of them driving around here in Denver... one black, one white.

I'll probably test drive the Solstice when it's available.

From the solstice forum.

"will be offered with a slew of factory-engineered performance engine and suspension parts so weekend racers can compete in Sports Car Club of America events against the Mazda Miata." GM - statement

I dont like that statement much, this thing should trounce the miata without a problem, in raw acceleration and cornering.

its just a replacement for Sunfire/Firebird. Its basically GM's BmwZ3/Miata..
Maybe you should read this First Thousand Pontiac Solstices Ordered in Minutes. This is just what GM needs, hopefully they can sell a ****load of these things.

I read a whole lot about this the other day from the solistice forum, I really like what i hear so far. I still can't beleive people have bought the car without ever driving it, there's also talk about a supercharged 6/speed version coming out in '06

Its the first decent design GM has produced in a while (besides the C6 ). We'll have to see how it does.

Yeah supercharger would be great! The last GM car i remember with a turbo was the Grand nationals, i believe there were some trans ams as while back in the early mid 80's. any power adder would be great, but already the power to weight ratio is awesome.

I retract my previous statement.

http://www.solsticeforum.com/forum/s...7&page=2&pp=15

Scroll down, there is a spy shot of the front of the solistice, you can see the intercooler!! I wish I could tell if it was a luiquid to air, or air to air intercooler.

on the sloistice forum, they are estimating 0-60 in 7 seconds in base model version. "IF" they get a turbo version they are estimating it at 250hp, 0-60 in 5 seconds. sweeeettt!!

The current supercharged combination only turns out 205hp :(
