  • FYI: great clearance on oil @ AZ's

Preface: I am not associated with Autozone in any way.

If you haven't noticed already, in the front of most Autozones right now are multiple "mix and match" cases of oil that are being sold on clearance:
$1 for regular "dino" oil per qt.
$2 for synthetic oil per qt.

Since the new GF-4, SM spec oil is coming out soon, they are getting rid of older "SL" rated stuff, and making room for the new Mobil products. I was able to find 5 quarts of the full synthetic [not the regular] Maxlife 10W-30 for my g/f's car. I also found 5 qts of 10W-30 Havoline full synthetic for my car [hey it's 2 bucks and meets GM's corvette spec].

The $2 synthetic I saw was Havoline, Valvoline Maxlife, and Quaker State.
The $1 dino oil I saw was Kendall [GT version], Phillips TropArtic, and Exxon.

Some of this stuff goes for more than $4.50 usually-- SNAP IT UP while you can!
