• f-bodys are stereotypically v8s....

i've noticed this...i almost never race against any ricers, they seem scared of my car. my theory is that they see "Camaro" and automatically think it's an 8-cylinder. The same thing happens with mustang GTs, i just had a modded 5.0 try to race me yesterday, but i wouldn't bite. anybody else notice this, or am i the only one?

everyone thinks my car is a v8 unless i tell them otherwise or unless they're into f-bodies. they always think mine is a trans am. i'll let them think whatever they want .

Hell, yeah! I love that look they have when I tell them its a 6. I have won bets from people on the fact that my car has a six and not an eight.

there are quite a few that don't have the z28 emblems... the SS, or a 6 with a motor swap

you said if it doesn't have the z28 badges, it's not a v8 though

i'm just giving you a hard time. i know what you mean. people think my car is a trans am all the time... then when i tell them it's a 6, they just say, "oh well it looks just like a trans am" and that's when i say, "yeah except for the front bumper, rear bumper, side skirts, hatch, and the hood if it's a WS6..." and that's when they give me a puzzled look lol.

Happens to me a lot. Usually the just won't race me. I think it's the dual exhaust. I've had people ask if it's a V8 before and other people back off when they see the duals.

(shouldn't this be in the lounge?)

Same here. People think my car is a Trans Am becuase of the dual exhaust and the moldings around the car. Just happen last saturday at a local shop.

I've seen plenty of tools that remove their Z28 badges, pretty stupid if you ask me. You can tell by the sound of the exhaust though.

i killed the crap out of a mustang once, and pulled up to the next light, him grinnin ear to ear. He said good run, what do you have done to it? me: intake and exhaust. Him: well i did pretty good huh. Me: nah, i just have 6 bangers under the hood like you.

                              he never did believe me..
