    uhhh...

Try heating up the lid a little bit.
use an oil filter wrench on it.

Sometimes if you hold the jar under some hot running water in the sink, it helps to loosen it up a little bit, especially when there's some dried salsa stuck in between the jar and lid. Oh, and by the way, Chile con Queso sauce is much better than salsa.

i know! that stuff is awesome. the only reason i'm using salsa is because i finshed off the con queso stuff the other day. need more.

AHA! i got the ***** open. i tried everything you guys suggested but it didn't work, so i got out a big knife and stabbed a hole in the lid. lid came off so easy. :D

btw, what is everybody's favorite salsa/chip-dipping sauce? chile con queso is #2 for me. my favorite is a salsa that my dad's friend makes every once in a while. he jars it and puts a label on it... "screamin' sphincter" ...it's sooo hot and chunky. mmmmmm.

there's a nice little market down here that makes some their own, that's what I always eat... but I like my the chunky kind, whereI can see what I'm eating... none of this mushed together stuff that you can't decipher.

Even though you already got it open, try this next time if it's a new jar: get a spoon. look at the bottom of the lid lip, and you'll see spaces between the lid and the jar. shove the spoon in there and pry the lid away from a jar. Do it evenly around the jar and it gets rid of the vacuum. It works for me
