Since according to one member noone can save enough to loose their job w/o going on welfare
If you have a 75k per year lifestyle and lose that, you could have been saving 30 percent of that income (22,500 Albert-which no person can afford to do) and IF AND WHEN that INCOME stops...........................you are SOL without some for of assistance
I though i'd make a poll to see how true this is.
How many of you have lost your job at some point, and of you who have, how many have had to go on welfare.
i lost my tech job a few years ago and i was making 15 an hour and for about 6 months i did some 12 an hour jobs but soon landed a 15 an hour police dispatch job with good benifits, so now i shall knock on some wood....

I did about 8 years ago and ya know what? I found ANOTHER job as quickly as I possibly could. I didn't even have the chance to collect unemployment because I didn't sit back and wait for a handout.
i've been fired from 3 jobs, all low-paying, minimum wage-type jobs. i never collected welfare or unemployment because i don't live on my own yet (i'm only 20).
Nope I neverhave been fired from as job yet,I quit from one job,but that was becuase the A** hole supervisor was being a total dick,And I saved myself form an assult charge. ;)

I've worked at 5 jobs and I've 4 quit all of them and the 5th one after I finish milking the vacation time, it's amazing I've been able to avoid getting fired because I've done it all! In fact I might just add a cardomain page to list all the stuff I've gotten away with for fun. Probably the most difficult of which was beating harassment charges by a female co-worker. If I can beat that and get 4 paid days out of it, then I don't ever see getting fired in the future.

keeping and loosing your job isnt whats really the issue, its weither you sit at home and cry about it while collecting other peoples money or bust your *** to get back on your feet.
I lost one job and guess what... I found a new one, even if it wasnt the exact one with pay that I wanted. as far as a 75k a year lifestyle... guess what. adjust. sometimes you just do what it takes.

I've lost one job (company went out of business). No welfare.
However I did have to stop eating out everyday.
All the other I quit.
