  • quick question pepboys?

    Ok well the shop I used to go to and dump out my oil from my oil changes closed so I going too probably heading to pep boys tomorrow to get some oil do change the oil. SO does anyone know if they dump oil for free at pep boys?

    doubt it....most places will charge you like 20-30 for an oil change i think

      Im sure advance auto and autozone will dump for free. I've used both of them

        Thanks cave, max I was saying just to dump out an oil container I change the oil my self.

          I take mine to autozone all the time and pour it into a big metal recycling container. They don't charge anything to dump old oil...at least, not around here.

              I dump my used oil at night at a Jiffy Lube center closest to me after hours, therefore saving on recycling fees.

                      I think any place that sells motor oil is required to take used oil for no charge. Not sure if it's federal or state law.

                      I've never had problems at any auto parts store or oil change shop that I've taken my oil to, as long as it's not an excessive amount (10 qts or less per trip)

                        Sounds right. I don't know about oil, but when my battery exploded AutoZone gave me $5 for it when I took it to them.

                              my pepboys, you dump into into a large container and you have to write your name/number/address on a sheet of paper/clipboard thing so they have a record of it. but its free.
