OK, now I have to say GM suck :D

3.9 240 hp from GM is looking dull now.

I've own 3 Hyundai: Accent, Sonata and right now '03 Santa Fe.

Hyundai has not disappointed me at all. I love their no BS warranty. I've only used it once so far.

Definitely has enough airbags. Half the price of the car must be for the airbag system.

Hyundai's suck. They're far below GM in build quality.

Besides, GM is pushing 260HP out of their 3.8 to.

The early model year of Hyundai were terrible, but the newer ones are nice.

The Accent and Sonata one I use to own was way better than the Civic and Sentra I use to have. I'm not even going to mention Cavalier.

It's actually more car for what I paid for.

I just read Popular Science. GM is experimenting with Variable Timing on the 3.9. In a year or so, this engine might actually get more HP with better fuel economy.
I think the current CTS V6 has some kind of VVT. Or maybe they havent used that motor yet, and we're thinking of the same motor.

Did I get ripped off or something when I bought my car? my 3.8 only puts out 200hp

uhh, GM has had their own version of VVT for quite some time. Ever heard of the Pontiac Vibe by any chance? Same damn thing as the Toyota Matrix w/ VVT.

Besides, yes, the Cadillac DOHC V6 > Hyundai

Cadillac DOHC 2.8 V6 has 200hp, the Cadillac 3.6 has 255... And both have torque near the peak HP #s
                  Mustangs.. Come to the darkside...

The dark side is the path to the shadow of greed. =D

And the same engine that Toyota designed. The Vibe uses the Toyota engine that I think originally debuted in the 2000 Celica.

Its funny people still compare cars to Camaros and Trans Ams etc.... with the LS1 that was made in freakin '97 (Vette) and they still lose to it

                        Plus GM has a 242-horsepower 3.9L V6 engine

It's simple really. All these car makers are doing to raise the hp on these smaller engines is jacking up the compression ratio to 10.0:1 + That's the main thing. Then they have to use Premium fuel though.

ehh... my friend had a '00 hyundai, it consumed the entire oil pan of oil between oil changes, no "major" leaks. Guess its ok though it only had like 55k on it.
