You're a pretty good guy to even consider doing something like this for someone. I'm sure you won't have any problem making better friends.

If this guy is rational at all he should realize that he's asking you to do something highly illegal, with no benefit to yourself. He should understand why you need to keep clear of the situation.

You could always show him this thread if he has any questions.
