The first time we can say this since 1917, when I was a lad then. :D Cogradulations to the long suffering fans in the Chicago area!It seems like the Sox had many fans all over the nation,& in a way were "Americas Team".
Houston played a great series, eventhough it only went 4 games. They'll certainly be stronger in '06.My hats off to them too, on their first Pennant title! But this was the Sox time to shine!!!!
If you're old enough to remember the "Big Red Machine",you have a lot of great memories that were'nt as long as a Sox drought,& that great '90 season was memorable too.Hey the Sox had rooters from all over the nation maybe they are the new "Americas Taem"!
I thought like that too & since I know I'm a lot older than you,I hoped I'd see a Sox WS winner before I died!My dad was a lifelong Sox fan & died @79 last year & never saw this. Can you immagine how many Sox fans have come & gone since 1917?!
Yes we'll revile this to Cubbie fans,& you know its been 98 years since they won it!I'd bet that the Reds will win it again before the hapless loveable looser Cubs will!ATB Geocor a lifelong Sox fan!
i was root'n for houston since they helped everyone in new orleans with roofs over their head and hospitality.
but im not upset that the sox won. im kinda dissappointed that game three didnt go to the astros though. what a game

I was at the game last night. And i was suprised on how many sox fans were there. Astros played like **** but o well at least were 2nd best .
i'm just waiting for reg. season nba to start, so i can watch the spurs clown on everyone. they're already heavily favored to win it all again (i just hope duncan stays healthy with those ankles)
Great ticker tape parade for the Sox today in Chicago.Mayor Daley spent a hell of a lot of money on it,was reported by the media.Hell the city had 88 years to save up for it they should have showered the crowd & players with bills instead of confetee! :D Go Go White Sox!Now lets repeat!
