How do I keep the neighbors cat from pooping in my yard?

This is getting old. There's 4 spots on my yard (one of which is my wife's flower beds right next to our front door) where this little sh*t likes to leave his little sh*t.

My neighbor's nice, and a client of my businesses, so the solution can't be cruel or spiteful. Her house is like 400 square feet (house divided into smaller rental apartments) so she can't just keep it inside even if I asked her, and there's no city ordinance about cats running the streets....

Any ideas?

ok, a little overkill. live animal trap, relocate animal in middle of night. they get long up there, so you have lots of time.

bb gun & rubber/plastic bb's. low power so it doesn't mame, just piss's it off.

or just lure it into your trucks engine compartment, start up,declare "oops", then take it to one of those steam cleaners for de-furring

my grandpa had a stray dog comeing in his yard and pooping all over the place, i gave him a few little firecrackers, he just threw it in the yard when the dog was around, he even cut the firecracker in half so it wasnt loud at all. just scared the dog. might work with cats.

my neighbor has about 15 cats/kittens, they never got the orginal 2 fixed, few years later boom kittens everywhere. and my dog is a push over and lets the kittens sleep on her. but they never poop in our yard. good luck

i second the hose option.. my parents cat is completely and utterly afraid of running water like that.. do it a few times and the cats will get the hint..

Another problem is that the cat only does it when we're not home... It needs to be something that doesn't invlove me sitting around waiting for him.

I like the repellent powder because the little f*cker goes into my carport and leaves footprints all over my Z28 too :mad:

Go poop in your neighbors flower bed. Leave a note that says "~The Cat"

Or you could scoop up all the cat poop and throw it on HER porch.

Lastly, try kinapping your neighbor. If she's not around, nobody can feed the cat....and well....if the cat has no food, then the problem will dissapear. An added bonus: you can collect a ransom, and she'll never know it was you.

You can purchase a small animal trap from a feed store that doesn't harm the critter. You set the trap, add some bait (cat food, etc) and when the animal is trapped, you have a couple of options. Take the cat over to the owner while still in the trap and come to an understanding that next time you'll take him for a long ride. Option 2, take him for a long ride without talking to the owner. Either way the situation should be handled. I had to do the same thing and it works!
