since you have a bigger house and are concerned about the cats well-being, kidnap the cat, bring it indoors and teach it to use a litter box. Offer the neighbor visitation rights.

How do I keep the neighbors cat from pooping in my yard?

Option 1: (warning civil approach) Since you have a rapport with your neighbor, talk to her about it and come to an amicable solution (maybe the pest repellent). Or Maybe she keeps the cat indoors during the day so you can squirt it with the hose at night. Cats will train via water, btw.
Option 2: Put out some catfood with some Moletox in it. When the cat dies from poisoning, tell your neighbor you were killing the moles, and the cat must have eaten a poisoned mole. Apologize perfusely saying you never thought it would happen.

Ok, I'm sure your neighbor is a big cat lover. It wouldn't be right to kill the cat because you wouldn't feel right.
There are many options you have to try and get the cat out of your yard, some may work, some may not.
But the best thing you can do is get your neighbor to not want that cat. Now your probably asking yourself, "How can I do that?"
The best thing to do is to find out what times of day the cat is inside, and when the cat is outside. Before your neighbor lets that cat inside, buy a can of cat food and feed the cat in someone elses yard, if you can. This way, the cat will be familiar with someone elses yard and may keep away from your yard. And when you go out to pick up the cat food, pick up a bottle of laxative, and mix that up with the cat food.
When the cat goes inside the house, soon enough the cat is going to feel it kicking in, and your neighbor will eventually not be able to handle it and get rid of the cat.
Do this for a few days and see what happens. If your neighbor refuses to get rid of the cat, atleast you got the cat on someone elses property instead of yours.
Its a win win situation, what can go wrong?-Rick

Bright White \'95 Firebird Convertible 3.4L A4 - Flowmaster American Thunder Cat-back, Zexel Torsen Posi-traction, Black Checkered Stripes, Clear Corners, Misc. I like the idea of throwing it back in her yard or spraying the cat.
