I have a Cisco 678 Router. I used it when i had my Qwest DSL. I have now changed from qwest to Comcast cable modem. Is there any way to use the Cisco router to route IP's to my other 3 computers? Or am i going to have to buy a different kind of Router? I have an old Celeron i can use for a server box as last resort. But i would like the Cisco to assign the IP's. Its much quieter. please help. Thanks.

You won’t be able to do what you want with the 678 if you use the old Celeron and enough cheap PCI Ethernet cards you can turn it into a router but for the price of 3 or 4 Ethernet cards you could easily just buy a cheap Linksys or whatever hardware router which is your best bet.2000 Pontiac Firebird

Linksys BEFSR41, great router had one a few years ago before I switched over to wireless, Linksys keeps up on the firmware so security shouldn’t be a problem expect to pay 50 dollars or less for it.
