I was riding home today on the highway, someone else driving, and i saw there was a lot of traffic backed up on the highway. I looked over to see what was going on and i saw there had been an accident. It was a really really bad one. A motorcycle had appearantly lost control and a young man and woman had either flown into stopped traffic or been run over or something of that nature. Neither could have been more than 30 years old. The man was all twisted and the woman was laying in a pool of her own blood. Clearly, both were deceased. This was before the cops arrived. Its one thing when you see this in the movies or on TV, but its something else when you see it in real life. We were inching by as traffic had stopped on our side of the freeway also. Traffic on that side was at a dead stop and people were out of their cars hovering over the lifeless bodies without a clue as what to do, clearly distraught.
Seeing this kind of stuff would get to anyone I'm sure, and it really gets to me. Ive got that image of that girl in my head laying there not moving. Its just so disturbing. I just sort of clam up around people, sometimes i guess reality is just too much. I guess thats why im venting now. When you guys see this kind of stuff does it stick with you and bother ya as much as it does me? I mean its weird, you see so many people suffering in new orleans, and with the earthquakes and such, and you get over it, but this kind of thing just seems to stick with me?
Anyone know what i mean?
