I had a 'friend' try and get me a job. The job wasn't the best, but it was a step forward in the business I want to get in. It was a job installing professional sound systems, the company installed sound systems for churches.
Well, my 'friend' who I've known for about 9 years, was supossedly pulling for me to get this job. Also, my 'friend' is pretty high up in the company, and has a lot of pull on who gets hired. Needless to say I call them up today, and I didn't get the job. I mean, this really, really pisses me the **** off. I've known and worked with this guy at my church for 9 years. He knows that I learn fast and have a good work ethic.
I'll give you an example on how the heirarchy of this company goes. Owners > department heads (only two, my friend is one) > workers. The guy works directly under the owners, and I was applying for his department.
