  • Computer help--- WMP??

something is wrong with my windows media player version 9. when i play a video it looks like its strobbing. it flashes very rapidly.. can still see the videos but its annoying as hell.

ive downloaded the newest codecs from divx, and checked for updates from microsoft.. there were a few updates and following installing the codecs it still does this.

i thought maybe video/ sound card was screwed up, but drivers are current and everything works fine in quicktime videos

    anyone have an idea

you could also download winamp 5 and play it on there- unless you have something for mp. I personally don't ever use it, but if you want to stick with windows media, I guess just do what 3.4 said. by the way 3.4, what's you job?

You wont be able to "officially" uninstall WMP from windows because its considered a core part of the operating system with add/remove it just removes it from your user profile but remains in the program files directory. Try re installing WMP 9 (if you can get it) or install WMP 10 beta over it.
