I live with the rents. However I am 20 and go to the local community college. So once I am done there and get a decent job where I have enough to support my self I will then move out. However I am in no rush my rents are laid back and I have a room the size of some studio apartments.

I'm 25, bought my first house one year ago and love it! The first time I paid my own rent was when I moved out of the dorms in college. I was 19 then. Came home from college and lived with the parents for one year while I stashed away the money for the down payment on my house.
I just turned 24 on Saturday and I've lived on my own since I graduated from college at 21. I love living by myself in Chicago. I don't know how anyone who considers themselves an adult could live with their parents. How do you have a social/romantic life? (I don't include people renting from their parents in that group).

The question should probably be rephrased to "do you pay your own rent/mortgage"...
Can you call it your "own place" when you rent?
If you can't, then I do not have my own place.. I rent.
If you can, then yes, I have my own place and pay my own rent.

I'm 19 ... I live at home with my mommy, but my boyfriend lives here with me ... he's 21. I was going to move out at the end of summer, but chose to buy my Camaro instead! Good choice, I think!!

That makes me love my house and where I live even more. I bought my house for $51,000. I've done a few improvements and should be able to sell it for $70,000. I can use the profit to build a new house with everything I want for under $150,000.
I'm 22 live on my own pay my own rent, lived on my own since I was 20(parents helped with rent from 18-20).
Townhouse is being built. Will be done in February(woudl be november but the concrete shortage do to china) Not technically 100% mine but getting generous genorouse help with the financing and will be paying the mortgage. And owe the money that was put up front to a person, not a bank. But luckily way the property value been skyrocketing by time its built coudl probably sell it for a $20,000 profit. Price has already gone up $8,000 for same model in same area and our foundation hasn't even been built yet.
Still trying to find oil leak on my Camaro, it’s a tough one. I think it is the oil pressure sender myself. Leaking when raving and going into boost....
