heh, at the dealership my dad told me he was going to go buy a harley just in spite of me getting a jap bike....then tells me hes gonna run me over....the saleman responded quickly by saying he'd have to catch me first :D

I'm pretty close to buying my first bike myself. Right now I'm leaning toward either a SV650 or 650 V-Star, both would be good learner bikes for me, I just can't decide whether I want to go cruiser or sportbike. I road a SV650 last week haven't gotten on a V-Star yet though. Decisions, decisions.......

What color did you get?

I just had my first 600 mile service done yesterday. 90 bucks. 70 for them to just look at it and go, yup, bolts are tight. And 20 for the oil and filter, but its gotta be done for the warranty.

Just yesterday I was saying to myself how balless this bike is in the lower RPMs. You cant F up below 9K rpms. I really need to fix that.

Have fun with it man. I had it up to 120 and didnt even notice, and so will you. My friend thought itd be funny if she started squirting window washin fluid at me from her jeep, so I romped on it to pass, and I was already doin a buck twenty by the time I passed her. Doesn't take much.

I also plan on getting a sportsbike within the next 2-3 weeks. I was looking into getting a Honda CBR600F4i. Here's a link to the bike, its got a lot of interesting stats. Honda CBR600F4i The salesman told me he would let it go for a good 7,500. Does anyone know if Im getting a good deal? I dont know too much about Honda 600cc's.
