Wow... first... you all have money to burn.. so send me some!!! :D

Second, the RR is way too uncomfortable for any kind of distance riding!

If this is your first sportbike (or first bike at all) I would look to something a little more tame. Even cheaper too. The Yamaha YZF600R is an amazing bike and right now you can get some out the door for just over invoice. (being 5300.00) then add on tax/title/reg and you are well under what you would pay for F4i. The YZF is a very comfy bike with all the suspension tuning the R6 has, good low end torque and with sprocket change... you can pull the front wheel.

Also price out insurence. That F4i is a very popular bike with theives. We've had a few get lost around here in the last few weeks.

Even better would be to find something used... but I'm just thrifty and love to work on stuff myself

Yea, BLLDOGG. I agree with Teal on this one. Those 600RR's are the most uncomfortable bikes out of the jap 600s. Not only that, they cost about 500 more then all the other bikes of its class, for nothing, to rank lower in Hp and speed anyway. Looks damn good though...

The F4i though, I think thatd be a good beginner bike, plus, since they came out with the 600RR, they redesigned the seat on the F4i. It doesn't look as great now, but man, its heaven on your @ss.

they're right the RR is VERY uncomfortable....I would explain it more as a race bike....even though the undertail exhaust is sweet as hell....it can be done on almost any bike....like mine for instance.....the bike I got it red and black.....just ordered the pivoting fender eliminator kit from vfx....flips up when you dont want to be legal...still waiting till I get back from my cruise to order a slip on...I think Ive decided on an indigo....and yes a forum for the bike guys here would be nice.....Ive been residing at r6-forum.com for the past few days...lots of useful info....kinda like this place ;)

I love mine. The F4I is an awesome stunt bike I had a friend that got a salvage one and just beat it to deat :D and it took every bit of it. He pounded in the tank and put a 12 oclock bar on it and would drag it on the bar hang from the rear pegs on it he was pretty awesome. He ended up destroying the bike in a wheelie. He came down and the front brakes went out and he hit a wall ended up braking his ankle but was ok other than that. That is what can happen when you play the game. Like other said on here get all the gear you will only use it once are twice but it is worth every bit when you do.

Hey Nikon, I see that you're in a pretty warm climate... So I have a suggestion of what kind of coat you should take a look at. I just picked up a Joe Rocket Reactor S jacket. Its basically a Spring/Summer jacket being that its half mesh, half leather. Its very cool when you are moving, but when you are stopped it gets a little warm, but nothing like other gear thats not vented as well. Of course, warm days up here for me are only about 80 some degrees. You should give it a look, I think they have Red/White/Black color combo ones.

Damn! They are having a closeout on them, and I just paid $180 two weeks ago!

my jacket is exactly like that....mesh/leather....breathes when your movign but when your stopped its a killer....but what I like about mine is that for the winter months it has an insulated insert to cover up all the mesh and keep ya warm at 100+mph.....paid like 150$...was supposed to be 180$....IM happy with it though
