• Local Civic wins NHRA event....

A friend of mine built and tuned a 92 Hatch Civic and took it to this even for the hell of it and qualified #1 and then later won the event....This car is daily driven and gets 25mpg and runs off a stock ECU. This car was built in his garage and tuned by him as well using the stock ECU.

    http://www.dragracecentral.com/DRCSt...r=100#indextop

    He went 10.28 at 139 with a 1.89 60ft

Heres a vid of the car making a test run a while ago going 10.75...

HDM Motorsports is not a shop...Its Hectors initials and will eventaully get a shop so its not some crazy shop car....just a daily driver Civic.

And yet it's still a civic.

Damn good work, though....I can respect that.

        Congrats to your friend.

When you say tuned do you mean built by him? Tuning means computer work to me. I don't know how you'd run 25psi with the stock computer tune

Dude its an import, if he put some different colored wire looms under the hood he woudl be known as a "tuner" so when he works on his car its "tuned"

all jokes aside thats pretty impressive.

Im not with the guy above me. That is a fast car. I dosnt even matter if its a civic neon or a pinto. It ran a 10! Dont hate on it because of some other people that make the car look ****y.

Nice run. tell your buddy i gave him alot of props. Oh and BTW. I had a MK4 supra. Sold it in 2001 because of all my tickets. Then i bought my v6 camaro. Next month when im boosting im sure ill be back to square 1. LOL!

He tuned it himself on a dyno they used....They have a program called Chrome somthing which u tune using Maps and burning them onto the stock ECU chip and then use that.

The car is full interior with a roll bar and weights 2950 (just as much as James Firebird ;) )
