would that be cheaper? kinda like a house boat? that seems like it would be more fun than staying in a hotel

that's what I did.. rented a boat for a week with 9 friends.. 40' catamaran.. it was perfect, and awesome. Went sailing drunk, then would go to clubs at night... the beach got boring sometimes.

can you email me some details on that? we're looking for something cheaper than an hotel...how would you go about sailing if you've never sailed before?

You can get power boats and stuff too... just search boat charters or something, cancun.. it's the thing to do in the brittish virgin islands. I got a boat from my cousin, but you can get it for around $2,500 a week... not bad if you split it enough. Just an idea.

does your cousin want to rent his boat out? LOL I can't find a place that rents boats for under $15,000...which is a little much....looks like I need to do some more research, or break down and call a travel agent

And if you happen to decide to go to cozumel, don't take the cheapest ferry, that is one mother****ing rough boat ride. They hand out barf bags to everyone regardless mid ride. And Mexicans don't like to give **** out for free.

If you want to go site seeing tourist and check something cool out and get out of the mexican cities, its not too far to check out Tulum, I am sure there are busride trips there, from cancun, I was mainly in the playa del carmen area which was closer.

I went right after I graduated high school. Did the booze cruize, that was a really good time. Also, they have a club there, I believe it's called Club Life, and it's awesome The bottom floor looks like hell, and the top floor looks like heaven. I stayed in an un-air conditioned villia, because the company that ran it was cheap, and just wanted money, but it was still a good time. Corona at wal-mart was like $2 for a 6-pack. If you're going to walk around down town though, don't talk to the guys that want to sell you drugs  From what I gathered, it's usually cops, and they'll throw you in jail so fast... (I didn't have to worry about that though, never touched the stuff, never will)

i haven't been, but my sister went for spring break her senior year. just be ready for some tequila, no matter what you order. every bar/club they tried, they would end up with tequila in their drink. even if it wasn't supposed to, they would just pour of shot in. they're obsessed with that down there. :D
