  • Sell or Part out?

Me and my friend are looking into either buying, fixing up, then selling cars or buying a car and then part it out on ebay. which would you guys do. they both have there pro's and con's. buying and selling the car as a hole would be easier but end up being more of a head ache with trying someone to buy it. parting a car out on ebay would seem easier but what type of car do you part out on ebay and what all would people want you to you part out?

what do you guys think, i need some feed back

Buy an old Z and make it a full blown drag car. I'm sure you could pick up a cheap trailer somewhere to tow it.

The goal of this is to make money, though that is a good idea

Problem with parting out is that in the end, you have the skeleton of a car in your garage or yard. If you have something to do with it when you are finished, you are good to go. With building the car, you will run into trying to find someone that wants to buy the car the way YOU built it. You would be better off maybe buying the car and finding a buyer if you build it to their specs. If you do that, remember to get a deposit up front for your time/work so that if something falls through, you have not wasted your efforts.

My ex-girlfriend's dad has a custom build shop in Mississippi. I am sure he would be willing to talk to you about it if you need some advice. Lemme know and I will call him and let him know that you are interested.

I'm talking about buying a car thats for sale for like $500 b/c it has a bad head gasket or something and doesn't want to shell out to fix it. My friend bought his car from an auction for a couple hundred $ b/c is was labled as a no start and the only thing wrong with it was the starter needed to be replaced.
