as for that concept....ewwwwwwwwww. If GM is going to slap a Camaro badge on that they shouldnt even waste their time. That would be a disgrace the the F-body line. Just like the new GTO is ewww....a stretched 2 door Grand Prix! Good Job GM, thats why you cant sell any cars.

Everyone needs to read the posted threads before commenting.

That black concept picture is nothing more than a photoshop of an Alfa. Personally, I think it looks really good. Maybe not as the next Camaro, but still a good looking car.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I give GM tons of credit for the GTO. It is the first name they have brought back since the Impala SS in '94 that has stayed true to the original. The early GTOs were nothing more than plain-jane Pontiac Tempests with big-*** motors in them, and the current GTO is the same. GM is finally starting to listen, and that's why the GTO sells....

yeah, i also thought it looked like that thing. they called it the chevy SS. I saw it at a show, it was allright looking, but i think the camaro concept version that guy made looks a lot nicer.

</font>[/QUOTE]I think you are the only person that agrees with me when I say the GTO is exactly what it was in the past. Never understood how people argued its not a 'REAL' GTO. Well, '05 more so then an '04 suffering w/o the hoodscoops and dual exhaust. I guess maybe if it was a lot less refined, had a shoddy interior, couldn't stop worth the sh*t, only good in a straight line, was retro like a mustang, then it'd be a 'real' GTO.

if I can afford one. I love the car.

Most people who are bashing them have no clue what they are talking about. I'm getting really tired of people saying they don't sell.

I dunno 94firebirdteal... To be honest with you, I wanted nothing to do with the GTO. I was car shopping for a WS6 and found a red 2002 firehawk convertible 6 spd. I was hell bent on going to pick that car up when a salesman just convinced me to at least take the GTO out for a test drive just for the hell of it. It pretty much made my mind up right there. Theres a number of things that make the GTO a lot better that you just wouldn't see unless you drove T/A's then the GTO, and did a little research into them as far as insurance, quality, reliability, practicality, price, etc. etc.

Trust me, I used to say that too, lol.

Maybe you are right, but you at least have to agree that as far as styling goes, a GTO is no where near as aggressive looking as a Trans Am.

Nope, I agree with you. To me the GTO still looks decent in my opinion, and it grows on you when you are standing right there looking at it. The T/A still definitley looks much better but to me it wasn't enough to outway the other benefits of the GTO though.
