• And the #1 sign that you've stayed in too many hotel rooms...

    I'm packing for another trip (whee!).

    I break out a new tube of tooth paste and toss the box in the bin in the bathroom. As I turn away, I notice the build up of garbage in there and I think to myself "When the hell is housekeeping going to get that?"

    I take about 2 steps, then stop.... It hits me.... this is my damned apartment, I AM HOUSEKEEPING.

      I feel your pain. Of my first 100 days worked this year, 81 were on the road. In February I opened a Trip Rewards account (like frequent fliers for hotels) with Super 8/Ramada's corporate parent. I get 10 points per dollar spent at one of their hotels. I now have about 40,000 points.

                      I don't deal with auto insurance, those guys are dicks. :D We deal almost exclusively with worker's comp and liability fraud.

                            So, are you single? And how did you get into this type of work? Do you need a special degree or something???

                            (ps. the first one was a joke. ;) )

                              </font>
I got the job because I was (and still am) trying to get into law enforcement and that involves a lot of waiting. I took this job because it paid the bills in the meantime and because I thought it might help on my resume. You don't NEED a special degree, but I have a Bachelor's in Administration of Criminal Justice and most of the guys in my office also have BS's. Actually, almost all of us are single because smart wives wouldn't put up with this much travel. I'm lucky because my girlfriend of 3 years is still in college so it's long distance anyway. Either way we're not constantly around each other.

                              Sorry to jack your thread, C.O. Jones.
