**** YOU DIP****
Ah, how come you erased this message domestic? Relax, we're discussing the facts of your poor perfomance here, don't get mad, rather learn from 3-rd party input and improve. Don't act like a 5 year old. </font>
get a ****ing life dude. some cop took your manhood and now you're pissed at the world. now behave before you get grounded from the computer. </font>
Actually, believe it or not, I respect majority of officers. I may not like what they do all the time, but it's not their fault, it's the lawmakers fault. Officers are executive branch, not administrative, so to say. But executive doesn't mean you will have everyone agree with the way your executive branch spends money. I guarantee you if you post the facts of how you abuse your Camaro to public of Texas, they will give you a swift kick in the nuts for what you're doing with their money. </font>
You have to be dumb. You honestly believe that even if he didn't have the Camaro, that the state of Texas may save money??? Do you know how much a Crown Vic Police Interceptor is??? I live in the Town of Speedway, which is in Indianapolis. Speedway has its own police force within the town limits. I know for a fact that the fully decked out Police Interceptors cost $45,000 new, and about $2,000 a year for each cars upkeep. And Speedway has 35 cars for 2 1/2 square miles. So I figure that to be a ton of money. But Speedway is one of the safest neighborhoods in all of Indianapolis. I figure if they want to spend that kind of money on their cars, then they can, and I will support that.

Whether or not DV is in a Crown Vic or a B4C, its still going to cost money for upkeep. And he will beat up a Crown Vic just as easily as a Camaro. So just because he drives a Camaro instead of a Vic, doesn't mean the state of Texas is going to save money on repairs anyway.

BTW: I would love to see you in some of the situations he is in.

Ka50, you have to remember that when Domestic Violence tells us these stories, they're out of context. We don't know what the reason was for many of the things he tells us about. He probably goes through a lot of tires because police cars have to be driven hard to do the job.

As for your comments regarding the need for rifles, shotguns, and other weapons: Cops (most, anyway) aren't just kids with toys! Of course things like the Hollywood shoot-out don't happen often, thankfully. But cops need to be prepared for that one day out of a million when it does happen. Six officers are dead because the city did not provide them with better weapons and equipment. They were outgunned. Would you like to explain to their families that they died because it "doesn't happen that often?" Also, police officers don't shoot for the legs, they shoot to kill. Using a gun is deadly force, period. If you're going to shoot a man, it's because he is going to kill you. If you don't need deadly force... use your pepper spray or PPCT.

If you ask me, there is no amount of money too great to spend on making sure that every police officer goes home at the end of his shift. That means making all reasonable accommodations for situations that might arise.

My thoughts too... DV alwasy seemed like a normal calculating guy, even in the face of cop hating a$$holes...

Why are you *****ing about his tires? I bet 75% of his shift is driving on the road. Think how much of your shift at work you drive your car.

Even if he was out screwing around wassting my tax dollars... do I care? I have a bad day at work, my hands are dirty, I am tired and slightly pissed off.

he has a bad day at work, and he gets shot in the head by a shotgun.

ROFL. I'm not sure Ka understands that. Let me elaborate.

Police officer # 1 has an armor suspect pinned down and calls for back up. It takes all of police officer's arms and legs (including strength) to keep the armed suspect pinned to the ground. Using his chin to activate his Motorola he calls for back up and gives his position. Police officer #2 hear his buddies call and is about 1 mile away but he's on the freeway and he just passed the exit!!!! Police office 2 responds "I'm coming but I can not tear up the car your life is not worth it. I am going to get off at the next exit and do a u-turn. (All other police officer are 3+ miles away.) When police officer #2 finally makes it to the area and is looking for police officer #1 he spots him across the median at the far end of a parking lot. Police officer #1 looks like he is losing his suspect.... But Police officer #2 does not cross the median, No, He goes down to the stop light. Does a u-turn and slowly accelerates (so he does not waste tire tread by spinning the tires a "little" in order to get to police officer #1 a little faster). As mentioned earlier a gun fight can be over in less the 3 seconds.
                .
Anyway, Ka you sound pretty silly jumping all over DV for jumping curbs and burning up tires… But hey that’s just my opinion.

Aight, you guys have some valid points which I missed. However, it still doesn't justify domestic's attitude towards his car and repairs. It seems to me, that he's proud of breaking his car. Just my impression from how he talks about it... also, I can't imagine a racecar driver calling his car a hoe. His attitude is taking stuff for granted... It just doesn't make sense to me.

i jumped a curb to get through to a major accident. retard on a sportbike rode a wheelie right into a gaurdrail.

i jumped a ditch trying to assist another officer who had an armed robbery suspect at gunpoint.

the debris on the side of the highway, where i often spend my time, is murder on tires.
yes, i'm the one who is not bright and closed minded, even though DV has alread explained how he has damaged his car and, wait, whats that? It was buy saving lives! wow imagine that.
Wouldnt you call someone closed minded if they ignore the facts, are the only one agueing their side, and refuse to budge on the issue?

They still respond to armed suspects, respond to accidents with injuries where seconds count, and face the danger of being shot at simply for who they are. Please stop acting like traffic enforcement is somehow less dangerous.

As a tax-paying resident of the great state of Texas, I have to say that I don't mind paying for DV's car and repairs at all. That kind of upkeep is to be expected. If his actions keep dangerous speeders off the roads the I drive, then I have absolutely no problem paying the taxes to pay for his car.

However, I am a little worried that a traffic cop is carrying around an assault rifle.... But that's probably because I favor very strict gun-control (even for the police). Do you really need a shotgun AND an assualt rifle??
