Anyone know a site where I can get trouble code info and how to get codes for a 1990 ford truck. Its the 5.7FI one. I searched some but found nothing. Trying to help a buddy get his going. I think its not getting fuel. Also when you goto start it, it sucks the pedal to the floor.

Ive suggested that but he has to much money in the truck and could never get it back. so he drive it into the ground. It still runs strong, when it does.

ALso, are you observing the tb when starting to see if it's catching on somethng?

Soon as it starts the pedal n TB get sucked wide open. I actualy gotta grab it and pop it back open for him. But if he holds his foot under it, it wont.

I really just need to pull the codes. Its not getting gas. If I can get it gas and it will fire, the rest of the problem can be delt with later or at a shop. I am just trying to get it going. It will run on starting fluid but thats it.

Correct me if I am wrong. I think its an F150 and it has dual tanks.
So since its an FI engine wont there be a fuel pump in each tank?????

I asked him if he tried switching tanks yet and he said no.

Just one pump may be bad???
Been to cold to even work on it today.
-11 had to scrap ice off the screen door.

Ford probably calls it a 5.7 so it has a familiar sound for the brand switching Chevy owner.
