• Blueman Group or Any Other Shows...

Been with my gf for a good 14 months or so, already got all that jewelry and nonsense for gifts and what not. I'm sick of buying that overpriced junk.

So instead, I'm thinking about getting tickets to a show/event in the city downtown. From what I've heard Blueman Group is pretty cool and neither of us have seen it. Is this a good show to take the gf out to? Are there any others you recommend that may be more fun/enjoyable to watch?

Lemme know, Christmas is coming and I want to get these tickets ordered asap! Thanks!

dude, you're NEVER EVER gonna get away from that jewelry thing. Just go ahead and accept it. A show that she likes is good, even better if both of you like it.

My gf works with little kids sometimes and they have busted both the necklace and anklet I have bought her (both white gold + diamonds, so it's not cheap stuff one bit). Plus, with the many mini gifts I have bought her this year, jewelry is not plausible with the price limits we have set for each other.

Blue Man Group is AWESOME!!! I've never seen anything as funny as that.

I don't know if it's staged or not... but don't show up late! Trust me!

Definitely worth taking the GF to!

I've heard good things about it. I did miss their show when I was in Vegas.

The River Dance is pretty awesome too if they ever come to your town.

LOL yeah that's no fun. I don't even see my gf wear the jewelry I bought her half the time and the stuff I got is top-notch!

Good to hear a rave review about it. Figuring it's been in Chicago for 8 years...they must be doing something right.

If we like Blueman, I'll be sure to expand my horizons, possibly check out River Dance, too. I have a big city to work with, might as well take advantage of it!

              Thanks!

Last year for Christmas I got my gf 2 tickets to see the nutcracker (she loves ballet and loves me more for sitting through it). So I took her out to a nice restaurant before the show and we went to the ballet, she absolutely loved it. I think the tickets altogether cost me around $120 or so then the dinner which is always cheap when I take her out because shes a vegetarian so her meals are cheap. But if shes into that stuff maybe you should consider that, my girlfriend loved it. Good luck.

Ur makin it sound bad man.. the music they play is totally awesome. The fact that they do it with drums, buckets, and pipes makes it even better.

                    It's very powerful in person.

They get the crowd involved, too. Crowd involvement makes for some of the funniest parts of the show.

                    Worth the money.

Blueman group was awesome when I saw them. I saw them off-broadway in New York City. It's a good combo show of music, comedy, acting, and crowd interaction. I keep debating on trying out to be one, haha, I have the percussion experience just not the acting experience.

The show was great though, very entertaining.
