  • new cars from GM

i have been a camaro guy since i got my licence (im 21 now), and during that time i have not seen any car that gets my attention (at my price range) than the camaro. but now i see that GM is comming out with the solstice and the sky and they get my attention. i mean its taboo for me being a camaro guy for so long to see myselve in a car that has less than six pistons. but the more i read about the solstice i like, and im guessing if the solstice is that good that the sky will be just as nice. im in colege now with 2 yrs to go to get my bs in buisness admin, and i have been thinking about saving money so that in two years i will be able to afford the sky. now i want to get camaro people's oppinion on the subject cause these are the most beautiful cars that GM has come out with in a while. am i crazy?? and are these cars the real deal or miata wanabees??

there is a guy down the street from me who has the second one. and it's kinda a love hate car. some times i'm like ehh it looks ok. but then it's like eewwwwwwwwww! i don't know. it's something that you have to see in person to understand.
too much for a 4 banger for me

You get any pics of the Solstice Weekend Club car (see my other sema thread if you don't know what I'm talking about)? I was hoping you would.

I hear you on the love hate. I personally think its pretty ugly. Mainly because of the way they did the front bumper and the grill. I would imagine it's a ton of fun though. 4 cylinder or not little roadsters are awesome on back roads. I have driven a miata a bunch and everytime that thing will put a smile on your face from ear to ear.

For some odd reason, I really like the look of Sky compare to the Soltice.

I'd take the Sky over the Solstice, although I think they are both chick cars.

from what Ive heard, they are supposed to drive much better than miata's. cant verify that, but Im liking the Solstice..... especially if they come out with the turbo-charged version next year. word is that this model year is pretty much sold out.

I saw one of these in person driving around, at first glance I thought it was some kind of foreign european car.. then I got closer and saw the pontiac emblem.. think they did a good job on that car... it looks like a fast car.. it only has a 4 banger in it?? how much horse/torque do they say it puts out?
