    Miracle diet
Well here is the deal kids, you see all kinds of pills and exercise machines on TV that promise you results, but I know the real way to lose weight.
Here is my story. On 3-18-04 I got into a car accident, at the time of the accident I weighted in at 250 pounds and I am about 5’11”-6ft. You know a big guy, can bench a good amount. Anyways, it got out of the hospital and I was about 245 on 5-01-04. So over the next couple of months I tried to drop a little weight, and by 8-25-04 I was 240 pounds. So now it is almost 4 months later and I am down to 190. I have lost 50 pounds of fat over the last 4 months. I have lost over 70% of my body fat while gaining muscle. None of the weight lost is muscle seeing that I can lift more now than I did when I was at 240. So what is the secret you ask? MODERATION! Moderate everything you do. Stop eating excesses of fast food. I eat fast food maybe once a week, if you have nothing else to eat, then don’t eat at all and just deal with the hunger, you are a big kid you can do it. I have a bowl of cereal every morning and then I usually don’t eat anything until it is dinner time. I work out at the gym 7 times a week. Now if you say that you can’t spare 30 mins a day at the gym (1hour for gym shower and drive) then you are a liar. I work 40 hours a week and I am a full time student, and I was able to find the time. Moderate what you eat, never splurge, keep it under control. It really isn’t THAT hard. The truth is you can say that is to hard and it is unhealthy to eat that little, but if you really want to loose the weight this way works, and because of my accident I get full body and blood treatments two times a month and my doctors have all said that I am healthy and never that I need to eat more or need more vitamins etc. If you need more nutrients and vitamins take pills! My neighbor is now doing the same thing and in 3 months he has dropped over 30 pounds. This isn’t stupid, it is logic. If you want to loose weight, take what you are doing now, do less of the bad and more of the good. I used to consume a lot of food and never work out. I changed that to never over 2k calories a day, usually less than 1, and going to the gym 7 times a week. I used to run a mile in about 20 mins, now I am down to 7. Anyways I just wanted to throw that out there for everyone that wants to loose weight.
Cause the first place to look when you are trying to drop weight at the drag strip is you gas tank, and then you fat belly!

That's pretty good advice. When I used to be a competitive natural bodybuilder, I would keep my Kcal. around 3800-4200 offseason. I was able to put on muscle and avoid putting on fat. I measured everything I ate. I had a scale for measuring meat and cups for rice and vegetable.

In precontest diet I would eat around 1800-2400 Kcal (mostly protien) and I would lose fat like crazy while trying my best to keep the muscle mass.

I stayed away from restaurants. Believe it or not, I went for 7 years without eating pizza or hamburger. I was that strict.

Like you, I was a full time student, worked full time, did personal training on the side, and workout late nights or very early morning for an hour and half (aerobics included).

Right now I'm a slop, but getting better. I don't think I could be strict with myself again. I'm enjoying life right now with my wife and family. I do watch what I eat though and still workout. But nothing hardcore.

Since I got on break I've been lifting 3 times a week and doing cardio 5 times a week while cutting back on what I eat. If anything I feel infinitely better, and I may have lost a little weight even though I'm gradually getting stronger.

Your advice is spot on correct. Eat less, exercise more, and don't eat bad and you will lose weight and be healthier. No miracle food or diet is a substitute for a balenced nutritional plan.

Well we'll have more of this topic by the New Year.

If it's helpful, maybe we should post what we eat, by how much and how often during the day. Kcal. estimation would probably be great too.

        What say you?

            My simple rules:

            1. Everything in moderation.

            2. Apply rule 1 in moderation.
