I know, there's too many countries to make a list of all of them - I love Italy - Venice is the most amazing city, followed by Rome and Budapest. I think Italy and Ireland are my two favorite countries I've ever been to. Venice is just surreal - like finding the lost city of Atlantis... and the whole country of Ireland is magical
I can tell you havent been to Cinque Terre or the Italian Alps, or else you wouldnt find Venice and Rome to be the treasures of Italy.

The Amalfi Coast is one of the most beautiful places on earth - but I am big into beautiful architecture and roman history, so to me, venice and rome are fantastic! Plus I got to meet some wonderful people while I was there, so that always adds to the whole experience.

I've been to a lot of different places (some of which I was to young to remember unfortunately), and the ones I mentioned just captured me...

i know - but it's a different part of italy was why I put it - sort of to say "yes there are more beautiful parts of italy, but..." thanks for the geography lesson though - considering i send people all over the world, my geography should be better than it actually is - never was my forte, but I'm getting a little better

Cinque Terre is on the Northwest coast - part of the Italian Riviera. It beats the French Riviera b/c a.) no french people and b.) a LOT cheaper.
its also MUCH cheaper than the Amalfi Coast.

You send people all over the world, what do you do?

i create customized group tours (mostly overseas, although not always) - my father's been in the travel industry for almost 30 years, and about 3 years ago he started his own company and I helped him... it's a blast - we do groups to all sorts of places - the "normal" Italy, Spain, England, etc... and then some more exotic places like Armenia, Rio (for Carnival), Guatemala, Peru, etc...

I hope you send some people to the Highlands and particularly the Western Isles of Scotland.

I would love to - but since the tours are customized, we send people where they ask us to... scotland is unbelievable - the highlands look like they are made of velvet - I was there for a week when lived in England and I've been to Edinburgh a few times besides that... great place - seems like a very liveable city...

C.O.Jones - i agree, I'd go back to scotland in a heartbeat.

Encourage them to go to the Western Isles!!
I worked for someone very active in the tourism industry (as well as the government) and he's from the Outer Hebrides (western isles)... I was fully indoctrinated by his propoganda, then went to visit - so now i encourage everyone to go... its really incredible!

Keep Europe, give me the Ouachita mountains in eastern oklahoma/western arkansas. I love trees, rocks, and water, along with rugged terrain, and there aren't really many people out that way.

Sure there is the occaisional snake, bear, mountain lion, and more rarely an alligator, but I am drawn to the area.

I guess if your idea of a vacation is hiking and primitive camping you would like it.
