alright so to make a long story short, i got pulled over today for not having a front liscence plate. He gave me a warning and told me that i had to get one before the next time he saw me or he would write me a ticket. ive driven my car for a year and a half with no problems about not having a front liscense plate. i really dont wanna have to put one on because IMO it looks like crap. my question is will the ticket i get count as a moving violation or add points to my record or will it simply be a fine? i am willing to pay a fine if i have to as long as it doesnt count as points.
thanks
its a 100 dollar ticket. trust me its not worth it. just put it back on.
i think its a thing to get pulled over for but after you get a 100 dollar ticket when youre broke you just count your losses and put the stupid thing back on.
current car- 95 Trans am- bolt ons, parked and collecting dust. why? because **** it
Can't you just do it the ghetto way and put it in your windsheild? But I agree, my license plate holder looks retarded, but the law is the law...

Windshield is illegal, and here in Canananananada your car can be towed to the impound yard if there is no front plate (vehicle is deemed not road worthy).
But I agree with you, I wish I had no front plate, I do however think it looks a bit better on the Camaro then the Firebird.
Use some self tapping screws and just screw your plate into that plastic air dam at the bottom of the car that directs the air up into the radiator. Its still pretty visible and had mine like that for 4 years with no trouble. I've even gone through road blocks without trouble.
It will hit and scrape on everything though, so after a while, the entire bottom of the plate will fold in and scrape off at the bottom, but thats below the numbering and lettering so, eh, whatever, lol.
is it really that big of a deal if everyone has a front plate?
it would suck here if I was the only one that had it
it may seem ugly, but its not like your gonna get ragged on
The car just looks better without it, plain and simple. It was a giant chunk of black plastic on the front of my white firebird. Stuck out like a sore thumb.
It isn't bad on the 98+ cars, but on the older firebirds it looks horrible. I swear I hate VA more and more with everyday maybe I should just move to Florida
I know someone that got a ticket around columbus, ohio for no front plate, and they had it in the windshield! Yes, in ohio, it has to be mounted on the front of the vehicle even if it didn't come with brackets from the factory. Ohio is thinking about doing away with the law though.
So my truck is finally getting some work done, after 17 years, Oil pressure sensor went out and it’s located under the lower intake manifold. Have to...
