The evolving story:
My mother is on her way to Boston tomorrow for more tests. She doesn't like the local hospitals, and frankly I don't blame her too much.
So, I called my grandmother tonight to find out when she was going to be getting back in, and I'm wondering why it seems like she can barely get a sentence out without panting for breath. So I ask her what's wrong, and she says she's has shortness of breath for a week and that it's much worse.
So, not wanting to add to my mother's stress, I avoided calling her for a while, but eventually I did call her because she has had the most contact with my grandmother over the week, and she confirms that she also has swelling in the feet and other signs of congestive heart failure.
I call her back and tell her to go to the hospital, but she refuses, saying that once she checks in she wont check out.
I love my life.

I'll keep her, you and your family in my prayers. I don't know what I'd do if one of my parents had that.
