• Early B-day present

I turn 21 on july 4, but just the other day I found out that my insurance will drop roughly 50%!! I currently pay $2800 a year for my insurance, but on july 4 it will drop to $2100, then 6 months from that day (in january) it will drop to $1400 a year. That is an insane drop, and makes me more likely to be able to keep this car once I graduate and be able to afford a nicer "daily driver". I didn't think anything like this would happen until I was 25

Cool...what insurance company do you have? I think mine drops at age 25 for males :(

      State farm

It was high even with my v6, only went up about $100 when I got the v8. They figure "sports car + young male = bad, regardless of engine size"

Yeah, do tell, I think I've been getting ripped off for the last 4 years....

Edit: Looks like I was a little slow on that one, thanks Beast.

I didn't know State Farm did that @ 21, maybe I should have stayed w/ them :( Just out of curiosity, how much do you pay monthly w/ state farm?

well i've been paying $230/month but that's with a clean record

my friend owned an '02 ws6 for a couple of months and he was paying over $750 a month, but he had quite a few tickets/wrecks under his belt. needless to say he couldn't afford it very long

Mine just dropped a bit for no apparent reason (I turn 24 next month). Now I pay $190 per month instead of $218.

I think when the vehicle hits a certain age too, the price drops. But don't quote me on that... :D
