Guy I work with has it with Verizon.
I would guess they only work on networks like Cingular, Verizon, etc. Sprint's network is different, and maybe Nextel and T-Mobile use both.
I think only specific phones made for Nextel can do the direct connect thing.~Derrick My Webpage
\'96 3.8L V6 M5 Firebird Y87 | 162.8 RWHP / 196.7 RWTQ
• SLP CAI • Y87 Package - 3.23s • 180º thermo w/ fan switch • TB spacer from DEE
1991 Jeep Cherokee Laredo 4x4

Sprint and Nextel merged recently so who knows what will be going on with their services.

Here's the deal guys... Normal Razr phones do NOT WORK on Verizon. Motorola has just come out with a CDMA Razr phone that is not currently available in the U.S., but you can buy it on wirelessimports.com for like a ton of money. Also, as far as I can tell the CDMA Razr only works on Verizon, not on sprint.

The fact is, though, that my co-worker has a Razr with Verizon. He said he bought it straight from Verizon, but he also has a few other devices he's bought that aren't available in the US market, like a Sony pda running linux.~Derrick My Webpage
\'96 3.8L V6 M5 Firebird Y87 | 162.8 RWHP / 196.7 RWTQ
• SLP CAI • Y87 Package - 3.23s • 180º thermo w/ fan switch • TB spacer from DEE
1991 Jeep Cherokee Laredo 4x4
