ANyone have that new Razr Motorola Phone?

An ex-girlfriend of mine that is a Verizon salesperson told me that they have been having some problems with it. I don't know what the problems are but read some reviews before spending that mcuh money on a phoen.

Nice to see all the reviews on the RAZR.
I currently use and hate my obsolete T-Mobile Motorola 722i. I have to keep the clamshell open to make and receive calls due to the tiny neoprene actuator button all F'd up. Plus the camera attatchment is unforgiving as you have to press upwards to make not-so-decent digital pics.
Time for a new phone!

they make a verizon version of the Razr, but it will cost you over 800 bux! the us versions are gsm, the only companies that have it out are cingular and t mobile... but you can just unlock it and use it on any gsm carrier.... nextel is OLD tdma/cdma ... all the companies are getting rid of that and going GSM

i was hanging out at a cingular place today with a friend (she knows the guy that works there) and they had the Razr's. i told him that i know a guy who has one and says that he didnt like it, the guy told me that he hasnt heard of a single problem with them, and everyone likes them.
it was $199 there with a contract i think.
which isnt that bad, when i lived in italy to get a decent phone you had to pay over 250 euro, which is almost $300. to get a nice one you payed well over $500.

I have a Razr with T mobile. Got it about a month ago. I dont know when they will have it work with Nextel... I know nothing about the direct connect you are asking, sorry.
