Racing is basically out accelerating someone or getting to a certain point before someone else. Usually achieved by heavy acceleration. another thing is that car is designed with the power in mind and thus far not pushing his car to the limits like you would. racing IS racing. no matter how fast you are going or where. i daily get pulled out in front of not matter the street speed limit. those people dont know if im going 35 or 100. and racing on the highway is even worse becuse of the speed. my mother has had two ricers fly by her on the highway before and lucky my mother wasnt trying to change lanes at the time. its hard to tell sometimes how fast someone is really going coming up behind you.

Only a few people actually try to race me. Damn turboed Imprezas *wrx*. If i get a light beside someone in a 4 lane highway im taking it. I will never race unless it is in a straight line tho on the street. I to think it is bull **** to destroy those cars. If the highway is safe enough for a flagman to do the races most likely that road sees no traffic. If they were street racing cutting through traffic and such i could see them getting there cars tooken away.
OMG!!! o' ok, since they are stupid enough to stand in the middle of a highway, its ok?

thank god i dont live in your states

1. You still didn't answer my question. By your definition, the AMG would be at fault too.
2. If I see a car going 35 and one going 100, I will definately know the difference.
3. We have rear view mirrors for a reason. Look in it more than once every 5 minutes and you will see that ricer coming. It is not hard to tell how fast somebody is going.. unless you have terrible depth perception, then you either need glasses or need to stay off the road. Ignorant people who change lanes in front of speeding cars are as much at fault as the speeder.

i dont know what else to say to you. you support something that is illegal and kills people, i dont. you would rather risk killing someones mother just cause you dont want to spend 45 dollars and go 45min to track like the rest of use. you yourself has said you car is incredibly slow, why race in the first place. maybe you'll remember this post when your mother dies from being hit by a racer or you crash your car and kill your friend in the passanger seat while racing some ricer honda

Yup, I will not pay that much in gas or the $45 entrance fee, so I will no race at a track.
If I crash my car I won't have to worry about the police destroying it
If I race some honda, get caught, and without warning they demolish my car... very ****ed up.

And it is not the support of "something that kills people". The whole argument here is that the punishment doesn't fit the crime. Racers have not even tallied up 100 deaths, where drunk drivers are in the thousands, yet racing has a much worse punishment? Give me a break.

BLLDOGG, you are such a saint. The streets are safer with you driving like you do. We all thank you, and keep up the good work.

So BLLDOGG if someone pulls up next to you lets say a riced out honda...and he floors it when it turns green and you sit there because you dont want to race and he takes off and the cops see you two next to each other and he pulls you both over.

You will NOT convince that police officer that you were not racing and your car will be destroyed even though its your precious car and you spent lets say "thousands" and it gets destroyed .

You would be pissed and guess what you cant do anything cause its the LAW... ...doesnt seem fair does it??

I had friends get tickets cause the person next to them were racing....think about it.....punishment doesnt seem right

Anyone ever hear of "innocent until proven guilty"? Yeah, it still exists and the cop would have to prove beyond reasonable doubt that you were racing in court.
