i would have to say, (being an IT tech) that norton has some pretty decent stuff... i hate mcafee with passion.. you can also try trendmicro, they are ok... but make sure to keep your computer windows updated as much as friggin possible... my home computer has no virus protection, im more worried about spyware lol... i have never had a virus attack my home computer but then again i am very good at what i click on cut down on the porn and free serial numbers and you should be good...

otherwise i would burn off your most precious data (not porn, you might need DVDs for that)
and do a wipe and reload of windows, then windows update that biatch and get norton

for spyware, you can run a combo of Spybot (search and destroy) and my favorite, Adaware personal

hope this helps ya! merry christmas

i have mcafee it didnt do S*** so i just went and got eTrust EZ Antivirus and NoAdware. so that should help out i hope. thanx DarkEcho. the guy at the store said that norton lags down the computer too much and recommended eTrust so ill have to wait and see if it was a good buy or not.

all mcafee does is suck down system resources. Norton, along w/the freeware of Lava-softs adware and a good trojan garian.

I have realized that Norton is alright, but with Norton running NoAdware still found 111 malicious files/regkeys on my comp. All of those files MORE than likely came from WinMX. I suggest you get Anti-Virus, Firewall, and a anti-spyware program at the least.

That's how I lost my computer. It's going to cost me over 200 to have it fix.

I've been using the computer at work.
