my uncle is a cop in ok.... they dont HAVE to anymore.... he said basicly, if you have to ask, your calling him a liar, and hes just gonna write u a ticket... they used to but no longer are obligated to b/c most are mounted in or on the dash

Just be happy you didn't get a ticket. Same exact scenerio happened to me in my Firebird. Pulled me over for going 45 when I had my cruise on for 30.

Gave me a ticket, too, even though I was really polite. I can't stand when they abuse that power, and there's not a damn thing you can do.

Ive been through this. And can you blame them? Why would they believe some citizen, especially a young one, over a cops word ya know? So sometimes its like you really can't do a damn thing about it.

i had a cop pull me over one night and told me my brake light was out. the next day i checked my lights and nothing was wrong. the cop asked me for my license and reg before he told me what was wrong too! pigs pigs pigs....
