OK 99camaro, next time an officer pulls you over, ask him if you are under arrest, and when he tells you 'no', then ask him whats to keep you from just driving away.
Like i said before, big difference between 'arrest' and 'in custody'.
[sarcasm]But i mean, since everyone here wants to go off of what 'friends' and stuff say, id probably go with what they say, and not what the guy who was an actual cop says[/sarcasm]
ok guys with the texas department of public safety are state troopers. I service all of their vehicles in my area at my shop since we are far away from their nearest shop. The guy has been on the force for a long time. oh yeah and i talked to another cop today. same answer from him. when you are in custody you are technically under arrest just a different name for it.
Yep, sounds like the cops around here. I was running down howland chasing my friend in a penis costume once and two cops pull up with their lights on. They start busting out laughing, and told us to keep going just dont cause any wrecks. Volusia cops have always been good to me, always let me go. State troopers though..
