• Longest night at work

Ive had the longest night at work, I work at hotel and on 3rd shift you do laundry, handle the phone and check in railroad workers{ by yourself of course}. Ok i come in and no railroad rooms clean, thats fine cause 6 were dirty and the railroad usually doesnt come in until 2, nope 3 mins after i got here 5 railroads showed up so i had to clean 5 rooms in like an hr when it normally takes 30mins a piece, All the way through im getting phone calls from people wanting **** and *****ing too. Then i get done with that and then i go to check in a guest but the person before gave them the wrong room so they go into a occupied room and all this crap started, then i had to send them away cause they were booked in the wrong room but there was no other rooms left cause we have a horseshow in town so they yelled at me and threw a book at me. Then i get down to laundry and see i have a wonderful 18 loads of sheets and 12 loads of towels to do and fold. So i start that when the phone rings and 4 more railroad guys left so i had to check them out, then 3 showed up so i was back to doing fast room cleaning and had to clean 3 rooms in like 40 mins. Then back to laundry. Then i realized the time goes back in texas tonight so i have to work an hour for free today. Eveythings got better though, my wifes sister watched the kids and my wife came out and we spent my free hr im working sitting and eating lunch{ you know she loves you when she wakes up, finds a babysitter and makes food at 2am ;) } I still got over 2 hrs left.

damn that sucks. i think after the person threw a book at me i woulda called it a night right after i took that book and shoved it somewhere not comfortable and told them off. you should still get paid for the hour loss though.

They need ot pay you fo rthe hour, regardless of what the timeclocks may say.

All the employres I've worked for always have been very careful to do this. There is no free hour for the employer. Likewise in the spring, the employee does not get an extra hour of pay.
I solemnly swear I am up to no good.
