Lady hit my bird!!!

i was making a left turn on a green light, and a lady going over 50+ mph down a hill runs the red light and takes my whole front of the car off! I just got this car in August and ive already put over $1,500 into it and for something like this to happen irritates the hell outta me. good news is that she hit me where she did, if i had been a tenth of a second earlier, i woulda taken a 50mph+ blow on my drivers side door by an expedition and i would be dead as a nail! :eek:

I havnt gotten my car evalutated yet by an insurance agent, but im wondering if any of u guys can help comfort me and tell me its not totaled. I drove it away from the accident, no engine or mechanical problems. i just need a new bumper, hood, and fenders, splash guards and a head light. I should be fine right?

If she hit you at 50+ mph I'd say you're aweful lucky all you need is a hood, bumper, fenders, and head lights.

few months ago, i needed all that replaced, except it was only one fender. i also needed work done on the radiator support. cost: $4263.19

and that was on my 96 worth about $6k. i see you have a 96 as well and you have more invested in yours than i had. i don't see why they would total yours and not mine. i'd say you're fine but i'd get it checked out pretty quickly.

aww, you would have been fine. i have seen pics and heard stories on here of people in the same situation and even faster speeds that lived from a door hit. well, it seems that you got lucky and the damage wasnt that bad. just make sure there is no frame damage before you settle with the insurance company.

if its totaled. sue the s^^^ outta her and get a new one and use whats left from your car to put on. then use any money left for other mods. :D sux about the car though. at least youre alright.
