The 3.8 was supposed to be killed years ago, but it's still here. The vette was supposed to have 4 valves per cylinder, but the ZR-1 is long gone. There's talk of the possibility of the HF (High Feature) family being able to be increased to a max of 3.8L so it's possible we'll see the return of the displacement, however the HF family is 60* DOHC so it won't share anything in common with the current 3.8L.
