And ya know what, Im not whining cuz I actually deserved it.... First time I have been pulled over and I believe the ticket was actually right.... Iv been pulled over sooooo many times for some CRAZY things, even got a ticket not too long ago for "my tags being expired" when they still had 4 months left.... Of coarse they get thrown out....
So I have been driving 4 years now, and got my first speeding ticket..
50-35.... What fine should I expect, what choices should I expect?
lawyer or just defensive driving?
If the judge will give you the option, do defensive driving on the internet. This is your first ticket so more than likely, the judge will put you on probation for 6 months, and make you take a driver impovement course. Then after 6 months, if you dont have another ticket, it will be dismissed.

my buddy yesterday got a ticket for 69 in a 35. payed the ticket that day even before the ticket was in the system. maybe its just Oklahoma but we dont have to do the defensive driving thing :\
Yeah my first ticket was for 60-35. I saw the cop and stopped befor he could even turn his lights on and catch up to me. He told me he didn't like giving tickets to nice people like me but he would get in trouble for not giving me one due to how fast I was going. Cost me 140 and didn't go on my record because it was my first one.
as long as its under +20 just pay the fine and leave it be...especially since you deserve it.

The worst ticket i've gotton so far was $420. I burned the tires off all the way down the street. Cop was gonna make is wreckless driving but took down to careless driving. Though I was in control the whole time :D
There is worse but I didn't get caught. I've smartened up though.

In Wisconsin, the police write right on the ticket how much the fine will be, which depends on what county you're in, and what police branch pulls you over. We also have no defensive driving. There is a course that can be taken to get 2 points back, but it can only be taken once every 5 years, and ticket still goes on your record.

I got pulled over for doin donuts in a parking lot and he gave me a wreckless driving ticket, but i got probation for 6 months and i did NOT have to do a defensive driving course, dunno why but it was funny with the cop talkin to me with smoke everywhere. oh and that was my first ticket. I've pulled one of those but I knew the cop so he didnt do anything. In fact he left a burn out on the way out! LOL
I payed my $50 for the 6 month probation (WHICH IS BS!). I get pulled over about 2 months later (I was really trying hard to obey laws) and he was asking me about it. It said the tickets information on there and said it was differed. I think that was what made him give me a ticket just because he wanted to F- the whole probation thing up. Dick head....
