  • Lightning Bug vs. Cicada

I don't know if this is a "Kill Story" or not....

Now, I know these two pests don't fight, and they are out at different times, but....

WHAT IF these two Tiny Titans, met face-to-face, in a fight to the death.....

Who would win? The Noisy Bast*rd, or the Glowing As*?

the lightning bug is faster. it just has to fly around for a few hours before the cicaida tires out and collapses from exhaustion. cicaidas dont live very long either.

lightning bugs are much prettier and a lot less noisy - i'd vote for them...

Assuming that the lightning bug was mutated and rivaled the Cicada in size, he would still get his glowing @ss kicked by the Cicada if for no other reason because you know the Cicada has a whole damn possy (sp?) hanging out in the next tree just waiting to swarm in and womp on him and take his milk money. Cicadas are vicious little monsters and their everywhere. When was the last time you saw a lightning bug on the news?

Other day I saw a cicada that looked to be damn near a half pound.
Give it proper conditioning and it could take a small cat.
I'm givin this one to the cicada...easy.

Cicada definitely. Those suckers are big and have the hard shell of armor. Most of them bounced of my windshield rather than get squashed like normal bugs.

I've heard they're quite tasty in some interesting recipes, but I never had the desire to give em a try....

the cicada would win if it got a hold of a lightning bug, but cicadas are blind, so it would be tough for them.

Also, female lightning bugs are mean suckers. they will bite the crap out of your hand if you catch one and P*** it off. My brother had one leave a big welt on his hand.
