GRRR Here in Gettysburg, PA it was 2.51 last night. When driving home from work this afternoon it was 2.95. Now THATS messed up.

A local gas station here put a picture of an arm in the price area on regular, a leg on special, and "Your first born child" on premium.

And this was before the 30 cent increase overnight.

Last night - 2.59
Today - 2.87

I heard it on the news while I was at the bowling alley. It was probably a greedy gas station robbing their own customers.

The Safeway here was $3.01 before the 3 cent discount they give with a card, and the 76 I passed before it was $2.97. For some reason Safeway went from being the cheapest most of the time to the most expensive. It's kinda weird. It was still packed though, so I guess it's working.

One thing I don't understand is why are gas prices being raised for gas that's already been purchased. If they bought this gas at a price equivalent to $2.50, why are they raising to $3.00 before even getting a new shipment in?

It seems like price gauging because of the hurricane to me.

As of 7:50 pm right now, the gas prices vary from $2.89 to $3.39 in different places, I went through three cities today, two different counties, and every single gas station had an enourmous line going out onto the road. Traffic is insane, and it seems like gas stations are just enjoyin' it. I talked to a couple of people today that lived in different cities (all in the Metro Atlanta area) and they told me that they heard rumors of gas stations closing at 4 in the afternoon today (which obviously didnt happen) and not opening up until Saturday for low gas supply. This is crazy man, just plain crazy.

I can't even buy gas now. Every gas station has 30 people lined up onto the streets. School busses are looking at running out of gas on Friday. :(

If the price of gas goes up for them, they need money to pay for that gas.
